Keycaps AI is built around a simple, shareable loop:
- Generate in Studio
- Publish a design page
- Share the link and collect interest (optional waitlist)
- Export a ZIP pack for your workflow
The workflow
1) Generate in Studio
- Open keycaps.dev/ai-keycaps-generator
- Pick a layout (60/65/75…), profile, material, lighting
- Write a short theme prompt and generate a few variations
2) Publish
When you see a result you like, click Publish to gallery.
Key point: only published designs become public.
3) Share & remix
Each design page includes:
- A shareable URL
- The prompt (copyable)
- Generation metadata (provider/model when available)
- A “Remix this design” button to jump back into Studio
4) Collect waitlist interest
If you want to capture interest from your audience, enable the waitlist on each design page.
Tips for better prompts
- Include: profile, material, legend style, lighting, and a clear theme
- Prefer “no watermark / no text” (then add legends via the tool)
- Iterate in small steps: change one variable at a time
Common pitfalls
- Too many ideas at once: use 1 main theme + 1 accent
- Low contrast legends: check readability on dark bases
- No layout coverage: confirm your target layout before finalizing
